Overview

Our Historic African American Bus and Walking Tours offer opportunities to witness significant sites from the 19th and 20th centuries. The goal of our tours is to empower participants to learn more about Dallas’s African American heritage.

This 4-hour tour visits the Pittman Hotel/Knights of Pythias Temple, Bluitt Sanitarium, and sites related to legendary American jazz and blues icons, Blind Lemon Jefferson and Robert Johnson, plus additional sites.

The tour will begin at RBDallas's office at 1408 N. Washington Ave., Dallas, Texas 75204. The bus will depart at 10:00 am sharp, so please arrive early to leave time for checking in and finding a seat.
